Susan Flythe, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CHEC, was recently elected to represent North Carolina on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Board of Directors. NRECA works on behalf of more than 900 local electric cooperatives across the country.
“I am proud to represent the electric cooperatives of North Carolina on the national level,” Flythe said. “I look forward to working with cooperative leaders from across the country and gaining perspective that I can bring back and apply here at home.”
Flythe joined CHEC in 2002 as Manager of Finance and Administration. She was promoted to EVP and General Manager in 2010. She currently serves as President of Board of Directors for North Carolina Electric Membership Cooperation (NCEMC).
Flythe’s two-year term on the NRECA board will begin with in March 2026.
